Cancellation Policy
Workshop Bookings & Cancellation Policy
I want my workshops to be friendly, relaxed and enjoyable for everyone, and I try to keep my prices as fair as possible. To do this, I need to make sure that workshop places and costs are managed carefully, so please take a moment to read the booking and cancellation information below before booking.
Booking your workshop
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place. You can pay online or via a payment link.
Subject to availability, you can book a workshop up to 24 hours before it starts.
Please arrive on time
Workshops will always start at the advertised time. Each session has a set amount of time, and I need to make sure everyone gets the full workshop experience.
If you arrive more than around 15–20 minutes late, it may not be possible for you to take part. This is because I may have already covered important information or demonstrations and, unfortunately, I can't repeat the whole session without taking time away from the other people attending.
Please don't arrive early unless we have agreed this with you. You may be interrupting another workshop or the preparation for your session.
If you need to cancel or change your booking
I completely understand that sometimes plans change and you may no longer be able to attend.
Because workshop places are limited and I need to cover the costs of running each session, workshop bookings are non-refundable.
However, depending on how much notice you give, I will always do my best to offer you another option.
If you give more than 14 days' notice
If you need to cancel your place more than 14 days before the workshop, you can:
→ Transfer your booking to another available workshop date, subject to availability.
→ If there isn't a suitable future date, receive a voucher to use towards a future workshop.
→ Send someone else in your place. You are welcome to do this at any time, but please let me know in advance who will be attending.
If you give less than 14 days' notice
If you need to cancel within 14 days of the workshop, I can still try to help, but I'm unable to guarantee a transfer.
→ If you'd like to move your booking to another date, I will do my best to resell your original place.
→ If your place is resold, I'll be happy to transfer you to another available workshop.
→ If I'm unable to resell your place, I can add you to a last-minute availability list for future dates of the same workshop. If there is still a space available 24–48 hours before a future workshop, I'll offer you the place at no additional cost.
Please be aware that this isn't guaranteed. It can be difficult to fill workshop places at short notice, but I'll always do my best.
If you can't attend
If you are unable to attend your workshop, you are welcome to send someone else in your place, provided you let me know beforehand who will be coming.
Unfortunately, I can't offer refunds or make-up sessions for missed workshops.
Workshops over multiple sessions
Some workshops take place over several sessions.
If you book a multi-session workshop, your place is reserved for all of the advertised dates. If you miss one of the sessions, unfortunately I can't offer a make-up session.
If you need additional tuition to complete your project, you may be able to book a 1:1 session, depending on the project and the tuition you need. Please get in touch and we can discuss what's possible.
If I need to cancel a workshop
Thankfully, this is very unusual, but occasionally circumstances mean that I have to cancel a workshop.
If I need to cancel, I will give you at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible and you can choose from:
transferring your booking to another workshop date; receiving a voucher to use for a future workshop; or
receiving a full refund.
Unfortunately, I can't be responsible for any other costs or expenses you may have incurred, such as travel or accommodation.
Booking a course or multiple sessions
If you book a course consisting of several sessions, the same cancellation terms above apply.
When booking a six-session course, your place is reserved for all six sessions and you will need to attend each session. Missed sessions cannot be made up or transferred to another date.
